Rather than spend a lot of time on a react or PHP app, which would be overkill for something that really just needs to be a simple blog with some pages, I opted for using Hugo to generate this site.

For those out of the loop, Hugo is a simple static content generation tool useful for those who want to prop up a website quickly. Its unlike Wordpress or other “website builders” in that Hugo can be used from a command, in just a few commands as well, rather than requiring a graphical user-interface which then has you building a given site in what can be thought of as “building blocks” or components.

To set up this Hugo site, here are resources I referenced:

• DigitalOcean - Good for easy hosting, if you need a server. I recommend Ubuntu if you want something simple.
